About DCM
DCM Consulting is a veteran-founded training and advisory company focused on firearms instruction, tactical consulting, and leadership development. Established by Christopher “Dutch” Moyer — a retired U.S. Army Sergeant Major with 31 years of service, including 26 within U.S. Army Special Operations Command — DCM is built on real-world experience and a proven, purpose-driven training methodology.
DCM provides training programs for responsibly armed civilians, law enforcement agencies, and military clients. Core offerings include rifle and pistol instruction, CQB training, and K9 integration. For military and law enforcement teams, DCM offers tailored solutions to meet specific operational requirements, including SOP/TTP development and specialty consulting — often delivered in coordination with trusted partners.
Our ethos is simple: My sword is your shield. At DCM, we believe in training not for ego, but for duty. Every rep, every round, and every drill is in service of those we protect. Whether on the battlefield, in a patrol car, or defending your home, excellence begins with a complete understanding and mastery of the basics.
Our Courses Explained
We divide our courses into two categories:
GUNFIGHTER SERIES (civilians)
The Gunfighter Series is DCM Consulting’s progressive training track for responsible armed civilians who take their preparedness seriously. Open enrollment and skill-building focused, this series is designed to evolve with the student — from foundational marksmanship to advanced gunfighting concepts.
Courses like The Gunfighter Awakens, Evolutionary Gunfighter, Time of the Gunfighter, and Evolutionary Low Light emphasize capability, judgment, and performance under pressure — including EDC principles and low-light engagement.
Primarily hosted at The Sawmill Training Complex, this series reflects our commitment to equipping everyday citizens with real-world tools and mindset — not just for the range, but for life.
WARFIGHTER SERIES (military/LEO)
The Warfighter Course Series is DCM Consulting’s premier training lineup — built exclusively for military, law enforcement, and tactical professionals. These aren’t entry-level courses. They’re immersive, pressure-tested programs designed to sharpen operational performance in the environments where it matters most.
From Close Quarters Battle (CQB) and Vehicle Dynamics to team-based problem-solving and leadership under stress, each course is rooted in real-world experience and delivered by instructors who have walked the walk.
